Okay, if you want to know what's [probably] going to be in the Extended Edition Return of the King, go here and read about it. And, obviously, if you'd rather not know...don't read it. I was wondering where all of those scenes were...'cause I knew they were filmed but none of them turned up in the theatrical cut... Hmm.
I'm torn between posting something about Hobbits and Johnny Depp (not a Hobbit. Not that anyone would mistake him for one. Or if they did, they'd really have to re-consider how well they understood Lord of the Rings. Or check their brains, 'cause Hobbits don't exist. Right now, anyway.) and posting about this feeling of dread that just came over me, realizing that a month from now I'll officially be another year older. Again! And these numbers are starting to sound mighty scary. Hell, I'm still getting used to 20, and now I've got to add another 1 to that...oh God.
Anyway, on the I'm-posting-it-anyway-even-though-nobody-but-me-cares front, the cast and crew of The Lord of the Rings is Entertainment Weekly's Entertainer(s) of the Year. Excellent choice, I'd say. And E! Entertainment's Entertainer of the Year is Johnny Depp. Also an excellent choice. :) Hehe. It's been a fairly successful year for entertainment, I guess. At least from my point of view.
Who would you all have chosen as Entertainer of the Year?
24 hours from now, I'll be sitting in the theater watching Return of the King....I'm so excited that it had BETTER be good!! Or I'm guessing a looooot of people would be rather pissed off. Though from what I've heard so far, there's nothing to worry about. Well, not much, at any rate. 24 hours. Whooo!
Wow. It must be really annoying right now for the people who don't like Lord of the Rings. With all the attention in the media and all... They even talked about Trilogy Tuesday in the news. And they're going to talk about it again on the 11pm news. Hmm. I'm just really glad I'm on the pro-LOTR side, or I'd be going mad, at this rate...
Question:
I just stumbled across all the quiz results in your 'obsession' section. Do you ever get anything done?? Well, to be fair, I haven't really taken many quizzes since school started in September. Actually, I don't think I've posted any quiz results since September, except for one or two from quizzes I took when I got this question in my e-mail. Heh. Despite my being good and avoiding quizzes, though, yes, it is sometimes very difficult to get any work done in reasonable amounts of time. Possibly there are too many distractions or something. Been too distracted to figure that out...
I was a dork before, but now I'm pretty much sure (is that even possible, to be pretty much sure? Aren't you either just sure or unsure?) I'm a geek, too. Just got back from watching the Special Extended Edition of LOTR:TTT. At the theater. When I saw the theatrical version of the film twice at the theaters. When I own the theatrical version on DVD. Oh God.
But...my God. It was completely worth the $11.50 price of admission. And those extra scenes....*giggles*...some were funny, some were informative, some were just interesting, but they were all great. *chuckles some more* I won't say exactly what's good about them, just in case anyone hasn't watched it yet and is actually planning to (see, normal people would just buy the extended edition on DVD and watch it at home...but nooooo, I had to go see it on the big screen! Hehe. Big screen rocks.) and doesn't want me to spoil it all. I doubt anyone I know who's actually here reading this won't be watching, anyway, or has seen it already ('cause I dragged the least sane of my friends [I swear that's a compliment...really! ;)], Susan, to watch it with me), but... *shrugs*
Merry and Pippin rock my world. Or Middle-earth, anyway. Lego and Gimli rock, too, of course, and then there's Aragorn. Man, I really want to get this last pesky exam out of the way and watch ROTK...like right now! Gimme gimme gimme!!
Ahem. Anyhow, speaking of said exam, I should get back to prepping and studying for that. Normally I would've never even considered going to a movie before the end of exams...but TTT is only playing from Dec. 12 to 15th, and I just had to.
'Cause like I said -- I'm a geek. And now it's certified.
I was just making up my bed and was startled by a sudden movement in the corner of my eye, before realizing that it was just a strand of my own hair falling over my shoulder. Hmm.
I suddenly remember that Prisoner of Azkaban was a particularly good Harry Potter book ('cause I was looking at a movie trailer-to-book comparison here, which includes excerpts from the book). I'd forgotten, because I read it so long ago and so quickly. The HP books are easy to read, and PoA being particularly interesting, I think I read it within the span of a day. Goblet of Fire, which I also enjoyed, was longer, so it took me about a week, but for me that's pretty speedy (taking into account that you can't really do nothing but read a book every hour of every day).
Aaanyway. Got to do some Accounting problems so that I don't do undecently on my exam Tuesday.
Bye for now, and remember not to stay in Hogsmeade after dark. :)
She's talented. She's smart. She's pretty. She's more than a little crazy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, since she can make the crazy go away when she needs to.
Man, that's annoying. :) In a good way.
Reminds me of this Benny & Joon quote -
Sam: "It seems to me that, aside from being a little mentally ill, she's pretty normal."
Heh. She sang "Winter", which is lovely, and I think the way she was looking into the camera, combined with the singing, kind of gave me chills. Guess I really do understand what you mean now, Suz... about being haunted. Hmm. And for those of you keeping track (though I don't know why anybody would), I realized I didn't have Tori's new greatest hits album ("Tales of a Librarian") on my wishlist yet, so now it's been updated.
Aaanyway, now that that's done, I gotta go to sleep, 'cause I don't think I can read any more of my Microeconomics textbook tonight. Bye for now!
p.s. Pirates of the Caribbean is out on DVD today! Whoo.
